UPDATE AND EMERGENCY ACTION PLANS

Regarding COVID-19 (CORONAVIRUS)

The City of Streetsboro will continually monitor the most up-to-date information regarding the Coronavirus that is being provided by the Center for Disease Control (CDC).  We will be following all the recommendations suggested. Parks & Recreation will be available via phone Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30 at (330) 626-3802.00

We are committed to providing a clean and safe facility for our patrons.  With this, we ask that you do your part to slow the spread of germs:

  • Stay home if you are sick
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth
  • Cover your cough or sneezes with a tissue and properly dispose of the tissue
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces
  • Wash your hands often, for at least 20 seconds

At-Risk Individuals:  The CDC is advising vulnerable individuals to limit outings, avoid large gatherings, telecommute if possible, stay home if they are sick, and avoid people who are sick. Vulnerable individuals are those who are 60 years old and older; or have health conditions such as heart disease, lung disease, diabetes, kidney disease and weakened immune systems.

In response to the Ohio Department of Health’s Responsible RestartOhio the following changes have been updated to all park operations:


Ohio Facial Covering Order
The State of Ohio issued an order requiring individuals to wear a face covering when in any indoor location that is not a residence, outdoors and unable to maintian physical distancing practices of six (6) feet away from others who are not household members, and waiting, riding and operating public transportation vehicles. Open: individuals should still practice physical distancing, wear facial coverings and wash hands often.

    • Pavilions are open to the public, but no reservations or rentals will be made until further notice.

Fall Sports

Closed until further notice:

  • Park pavilion rentals
  • Streetsboro Senior Center
  • Senior Center room rentals
 

Senior Center
Streetsboro Senior Center will be closed starting 3/16/2020 until further notice.

All Senior Center programming will be cancelled during the shutdown.
All Silver Sneaker CLASSES have been cancelled until further notice.

REFUNDS/CREDITS/EXTENSIONS
PROGRAMS: Participant’s enrolled in Parks & Recreation programs and Senior Center programs cancelled due to the closer are eligible for full/partial refunds or credit to an account.
