COVID-19 Updates

Streetsboro Parks & Recreation Department



The City of Streetsboro will continually monitor the most up-to-date information regarding the Coronavirus that is being provided by the Center for Disease Control (CDC).  We will be following all the recommendations suggested. Parks & Recreation will be avliable via phone Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30 at (330) 626-3802.00

We are committed to providing a clean and safe facility for our patrons.  With this, we ask that you do your part to slow the spread of germs:

  • Stay home if you are sick
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth
  • Cover your cough or sneezes with a tissue and properly dispose of the tissue
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces
  • Wash your hands often, for at least 20 seconds

At-Risk Individuals:  The CDC is advising vulnerable individuals to limit outings, avoid large gatherings, telecommute if possible, stay home if they are sick, and avoid people who are sick. Vulnerable individuals are those who are 60 years old and older; or have health conditions such as heart disease, lung disease, diabetes, kidney disease and weakened immune systems.

UPDATE - 3/23/2020
 In accordance with the statewide stay-at-home order issued by Governor Mike DeWine, Streetsboro Parks and Recreation will close all playgrounds and play structures effective immediately.  Signs have been posted at each playground site. 
The parks themselves are not closing and outdoor spaces will remain open to walk, run, or bike. Social distancing measures should still be practiced by remaining at least six feet away from other people.

placed on hold until further notice:
Art Club

All Parks & Recreation programs are cancelled or
postponed during this time, this includes:
Twinkle Toes & Hip Hop Jazz
Baking Memories
Bonding with Braids
Safe Sitter Training
Evening Yoga Class
Kuk Sool Won

Parks & Recreation & American Legion’s Annual Easter
Egg Hunt has been cancelled. (updated 3/17/2020)

Senior Center
Streetsboro Senior Center will be closed starting 3/16/2020 through 4/3/2020.
All Senior Center programming will be cancelled during the shutdown.
All Silver Sneaker CLASSES have been cancelled through at least 4/3/2020. 

Reliable Resources:


  • PROGRAMS: Participant’s enrolled in Parks & Recreation programs and Senior Center programs cancelled due to the closer are eligible for full/partial refunds or credit to an account.
  • FACILITY RENTALS: Senior Center weekend rentals have not been cancelled.
