Darin Powers - Chief of Police: A graduate of the University of Akron, Darin Powers was sworn in as a patrol officer with the Streetsboro Police Department in January 1998. He was then promoted to Sergeant in April 2001 and served as a shift supervisor on all three shifts. He was promoted to Lieutenant in May 2011. Chief Powers is a graduate of the prestigious FBI National Academy, session 256, and has completed executive training with the Police Executive Leadership College (PELC). He has served as a department firearms instructor, Standardized Field Sobriety Test instructor and a certified traffic crash investigator. He has also taught classes for the basic police academy. Troy Beaver - Operations Lieutenant: Lt Beaver attended Kent State University and was sworn in to the Streetsboro Police Department in 1992 as a patrol officer. In 2006, he was promoted to Sergeant and served as a shift supervisor for both day shift and afternoon shift. He was promoted to Lieutenant in March 2013. He completed the Police Executive Leadership College (PELC) in 2008. He is a department TASER Instructor, Standardized Field Sobriety Test instructor and Field Training Officer. Lt Beaver now serves as the department's Operations Lieutenant and oversees all Patrol functions including the DARE/SRO program, the Field Training program, performance evaluations and all incident and crash reports. Patricia Wain - Administrative Lieutenant:
Lt. Wain graduated from Kent State University and was sworn in to the Streetsboro Police Department in 1995 as a police officer. In 2010, she was promoted to Sergeant and served as shift supervisor for all three shifts. She was promoted to Lieutenant in 2015. Lt. Wain is a graduate of the Police Executive Leadership College (PELC) in 2014 and the Department of Homeland Security Leadership Academy in 2017. She currently serves as the Administrative Lieutenant and as the department’s Public Information Officer (PIO). Lt. Wain is also a Negotiator and has been with the Metro Swat team since 2001.

Sharon Gumm - Administrative Assistant: Sharon Gumm joined the department in 1999 as a part time dispatcher then moved to full time dispatch in 2001. She served as a communications training officer for many of our new dispatchers over the years. She was selected as Dispatcher of the Year in 2005 and has received other awards over the years. In 2013, she moved out of dispatch and became the Administrative Assistant to the Chief of Police. She can be reached at email@example.com
