Resident Programs

The City of Streetsboro allocates a percentage of its Community Development Block Grant funds to assist senior and low-moderate income individuals receive assistance in mowing grass at their primary residence.  Applicants must prove that they are at, or below, income levels established by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).  Funds are limited and can only accommodate taking care of a limited number of households.  The City of Streetsboro does not directly receive the Community Development Block Grant funds and partners with Portage County for service delivery.  For specific questions on programming or eligibility please reach out to:

The City of Streetsboro also has funds held in trust to assist homeowners meeting income levels as determined by HUD to make home repairs.  The city partners with Neighborhood Development Services of Ravenna for these housing programs.  Contact the Economic Development Director, Patrick O'Malia at 330.842.9748 or by e-mail at pomalia@cityofstreetsboro.com for a quick consultation on if basic eligibility has been met and a referral to Neighborhood Development Services will be made on your behalf.
