Resident Programs
The City of Streetsboro allocates a percentage of its Community Development Block Grant funds to assist senior and low-moderate income individuals receive assistance in mowing grass at their primary residence. Applicants must prove that they are at, or below, income levels established by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Funds are limited and can only accommodate taking care of a limited number of households. The City of Streetsboro does not directly receive the Community Development Block Grant funds and partners with Portage County for service delivery. The City of Streetsboro also has funds held in trust to assist homeowners meeting income levels as determined by HUD to make home repairs. The city partners with Neighborhood Development Services of Ravenna for these housing programs.
