Steve Michniak

Steve Michniak is a lifelong resident of the City of Streetsboro and has worked in public service most his adult life. Steve has served as an Attorney for the Portage County Prosecutors Office for the last 28 years , in many positions including Senior Prosecutor, Special Victims Unit Supervisor and as The Chief Prosecutor for the Portage County Prosecutors Office. Steve is currently assigned to the “Major Trials Division” handling the most serious Felony cases that occur in the County . In addition to his duties as a Prosecutor Steve has also been elected by the residents of Streetsboro to multiple terms as a City Councilman, serving as Council President , and Vice President . He has also been appointed as the chairman of the Finance , Safety and Service Committees during his terms on Council. Steve has been actively involved in local Streetsboro Community life most his adult life , serving many years as a youth sports coach and mentor in Baseball, Basketball , Track & Field and Cross Country. In his free times he enjoys spending time outdoors and with his wife Dana and their two sons Steve and Michael.
